Balraj Raghunath Dutt alias Sunil Dutt, born on 6 June 1929 in Khurd village in Jhelum district, aspired to become an actor since childhood. He started his cine career with the film railway platform screened in the year 1955.

After the railway platform film, he went on to accept whatever role he got. During that time she acted in many B grade films like Kundan, Rajdhani, Kismat Ka Khel and Payal but none of these films were successful at the box office.
