Salil Arun Kumar Sand, who kept reliable news of TV and cinema, told News18 that Wajid was admitted to the hospital about 60 days ago due to kidney problems. He underwent a kidney transplant some time ago. About three days ago, he had seen symptoms of Corona, but the cause of his death is said to be cardiac arrest. He was also diabetic. However, due to signs of corona and security reasons, only two people have been allowed to attend Wajid's last visit. Otherwise, 20 to 30 people are allowed to join the last journey during the Corona period and lockdown time.
According to Salil Arun Kumar Sand, Wajid will be delivered in Krisbastan, Versova. His grave will be next to Irrfan Khan.
